Well, I finished Embodiment of the Scarlet Devil, achieving the lofty heights of "Bad Ending 1".

Something tells me I won't be seeing a "Good Ending" for a while.

Finally made homecoming plans.
Showed up all my friends by finishing a 96 hour famine for charity versus their 24.

I'm guessing you ate 5 meals after that.

Nah. I'd get sick if I did that. I've got to start easing into eating, which I did with a dreampop and a gallon of gatorade.

I went from 90-100lbs to 120-130, so it's nothing to boast about, but I'm making progress.
I can about bench the standard bar plus ten or fifteen pounds. Yay for a lack of upper body strength!(?)

At least I can run fast, I guess.

I've gone from benching about 70 lbs over the summer to 140 lbs right now. My lifting buddy went from 110 to 260  :-\.

A 70 pound gain is still pretty impressive, don't feel bad!

I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

I've always been certain that men can't be truly bisexual - I feel that we have an inability to multitask, and therefore an inability to be attracted to either gender. So a bisexual man would truly swing either one way or the other, but only one way at any given time.
I thought it was more that people are on a spectrum - as in, have a varying degree of attraction to both genders, with being at either end defined as "straight" or "gay" while being bisexual is somewhere in the middle.

Men are certainly a lot less likely to identify as bisexual, though.

While the sliding-scale analogy makes sense, it doesn't leave any room for people who describe themselves as asexual.

Usually, you do a 2-d map thing, with attraction to gender on one axis and level of attraction (asexuality to nymphomania/whatever) on the other.

I think Leafsnail may be talking about the Kinsey Scale, which may or may not be seriously flawed.

I may not know all the backstory behind this, but why?
Why bother to pretend to be somebody you are clearly not, to gain the appreciation of people, which do make fun of the way you talk and look?

I think it's just one of those "formative years" things.  You start being less controlled by your parents, and then you want to make your own choices about how you look and how you act and so on.  I was the only kid in my econ class who was willing to admit that I owned pretty much everything used--or anything used.  I'm also the only person I've ever seen walking around in Chinese blouses.

These choices may all be more "me" than various alternatives, but I can see how my stubbornness to be true to myself has caused me a lot of troubles over the years.  It's caused advantages--for some reason, professors seem to universally think I'm kind of neat--but also disadvantages, because my peers can't get past the wrapping to see what's inside.  It's like... if there's a village, and for some reason, it's a prime raider attack site.  It may be anti-military, but at the same time you can see the reason to raise a militia to protect itself.

I could go buy T-shirts, or I can go along with my plan of learning how to sew myself some old-fashioned blouses, vests, and trousers.  I could let my foundations of knowledge stagnate in hopes of talking a bit less like an encyclopedia, or I can struggle on.  Superficial choices, to be sure, but they're still choices--and now is the time to choose.

Or a wide variety of other things (transexuality?  intersex conditions?).  The idea is just that "gay" and "straight" aren't as immovable as we tend to think they are.
