As we move more and more of our knowledge to electronic forms, a series of surgical EMP strikes on major servers and data storage locations could destroy huge chunks of historical and scientific record... it'd be like the destruction of the Library of Alexandria all over again.

Yeah, exactly.  I actually hear people saying "What?  I don't need to learn that!  I can just look it up on the internet" quite a bit, and it shocks me.  The prevalent attitude of "I don't actually need to know anything, because the computer will do it for me" is just scary.  I end up wondering if the information age is shoeing in an era of ignorance.

I'd probably end up being someone's servant.  If I were lucky, I'd occasionally have enough time and money for a book or two.  In a post-industrial age but pre-substantial women's lib, I'd probably be doing factory work... and in a rural area, married with nine children.

If I were either male or could do a good enough job faking masculinity, I'd probably go straight for the priesthood (assuming medieval/pre-renaissance era).  For a long time, monasteries served to store human knowledge, and priests were educated to carry on the mental constructs of a civilization.  After becoming a priest, I'd go rediscover the scientific method, steam power, electricity, and the computational engine.  Erm, if I could remember my basic high school education at that point, that is...

Failing that, Thief. Can you imagine how easy it used to be, to be a thief in a major Medieval city? No real guns, roof-friendly city design. No serial numbers. No cameras. No photos. No IDs. No forensics. No real high-speed communication.

Of course, there were no lethal force restraints either, but I guess you kind of accepted that as part of the bargain.

Dood, make her lunch or dinner. I've got a bunch of recipes I could share, depending on what she likes, and what she can eat.

Eat a dick.

I fail to see how eating a dick could help in this situation.

Yeah, I've got a super-easy crepe recipe everyone seems to like, and there's always the internet...

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

The point is that he participated at the start.

And then came to the realisation of what he was doing.
