Onto a slightly less offensive note, just dodged a bullet somewhat.

So like two days ago our basement flooded a little bit and the edges of all the carpets down here was wet, a good one-foot border all around. So today we finally got around to moving all the junk around so the carpets could dry in the back yard. After moving the computer I tried to turn it on to reveal to you guys this event.
The power light blinked and died. I tried this several time,s each time the light blinking fewer and fewer times. Alright, sounds like the power supply died. Crap. So I disconnect everything and take the thing out so I can test it. It turned on a fan just fine, so I was a little perplexed. I connected it to the Motherboard and turned it on. The power supply didn't turn on.
At this point I started to freak out at the prospect of the motherboard dying as that doesn't come cheap. It was also at this point that my dad became interested because he studied computer engineering a little bit before. So he came down and started a five minute talk on computer safety that I was quite clearly following right there in front of him. After that he was actually rather good about things, listening to what I was saying and providing valid assistance. So we hooked up the motherboard again and tested it out.
It worked flawlessly. Everything was fully functional. I guess a cable was loose or something(Which I'm dubious about, those cables were hard to remove), and now everything works and I'm relieved that I don't need to buy a new power supply or motherboard.
Yeah man, I hate moving anything with a lot of parts in it.  Something gives.

Sick ass, going to my Dad's this weekend and I hear word of fishing.  I'll take pictures of the house this time.

Well there goes me doing a bachelor of lit in uni.

I mean- Wow Guys! Leafsnail's back!

Where've you been?
Independant-ish scout camp thingy followed by a two week family holiday in Ireland.

Suffice to say I'll be relaxing for the next few days.

if your camping as a scout, your doing it wrong.

camping is for engies and snipers. scouts are for running around.

Finally got around to cleaning the kitchen this afternoon, and tackling a pile of dishes. I was in shorts and bare feet, and while cleaning had a bunch of knives balanced and drying on a rack on the counter. As I brushed past it, I knocked it off balance, and sent a bunch of knives and sharp implements tumbling towards my legs and feet, but through a series of dodges and fancy footwork I managed to avoid every one.

Being extremely clumsy has actually given me pretty awesome reflexes.

Now, I don't mean to be a solicitin' solicitor, But I've recently downloaded steam, and I know all you guys have steam, so you should all add me as a friend or something. It'd make me pretty happy, especially since I can't add anyone of my own accord, due to not owning any steam games.

*clicks on the 'accept friend request' button*
Steam: I'm afraid I can't let you do that Joshua!

Does Steam have something against people adding eachother as friends? I mean, I know I don't have any games, but come on!

Oh ok, I figured it out, I had to go into my profile, then use my personal settings to accept their requests or some bull. I was trying to use the friend menu.

We may not be as brave as Gryffindor, as willing to get our hands dirty as Hufflepuff, or as devious as Slytherin, but there is nothing, nothing more dangerous than a little too much knowledge and a conscience that is open to debate

David Bowie man.
The bright lights and white make-up and close-ups all worked together to make me acutely aware of David Bowie's mouth. It was quite mesmerizing.
