I might've already mentioned this, but it bears repeating due to how powerful the joy-osity of this is.
My brother is 10 months older than me, and a lot of his friends have little brothers my age, so we all run as one big group. A couple nights ago, while we were all chilling out, someone just says "Hey, I have to go meet this softball chick at this upscale hotel. Her whole team is there if anyone wants to come with". By upscale hotel, he meant only two floors aren't executive suites, and ID's are checked at the entrance and all, and it is extremely pricy. We did not know this until we got turned away at the door. Me being me, I found a door on the side of the building and managed to get it to unlock (didn't pick it. One turn of the handle it is locked, next try it opens. Go figure). Behind the door is a staircase for the maintenance people to access all the boiler rooms, and the pool at the top floor.
We get all the way up, and are standing in front of the door to the pool. Locked, with no luck at opening. I was running on an adrenaline high and caught up in the excitement, so I had the greatest idea ever. I take a ladder up and over a wall section, and find myself on a 18th floor hallway balcony, with a ten foot drop that would land me right next to the railing. Naturally, me being me, I wussed out and got another kid to drop down, but then he got the door for us. We were in for real, and the softball team was all up at the pool. At risk of turning into a guido, shit was so cash.
In our wanderings of the hotel and chilling, we ended up outside the reception hall, where a wedding reception was being held. To shorten a story, a drunk as hell attendee taught us some dance moves, was extraordinarily racist, and invited us on in. Then we had security called on us by a pissy staffer. We risked the electric slide, dodged a rent-a-cop (they are seriously lacking in mobility without segways), and snuck back to the girls hotel room before we realized we were out way past curfew. Numbers were exchanged rapidly as we hustled to get the hell back home before we were caught out too late, and everyone made it safe.
