I think my favorite is the Kingler.  He's chill.  The Voltorb and Electrode are nice takes on their respective sprites' personalities too.

Heard on the radio news that a childhood friend of mine was charged with rape... then when I looked it up on the internet, the defendant's name was spelled different, but pronounced the same, thus, the defendant is not my childhood friend.  So yeah, my childhood remains intact for another day  8)
