Yeah. So people set off the rest of their fireworks on my birthday instead. Fun way to piss of people with hangovers, though.

Was coiling the extension cord for my lawnmower today when somebody set off a lone firework. There was one bang at first, which didn't bother me or my sunbathing housemate.

Thirty seconds later, the secondary explosion went off over our head and sounded like an AA gun going off. Scared us shitless.

EDIT: We live in Canada, too, so the firework was two days late.

A good friend from high school got married today. Ridiculously smart guy, but he never was the smoothest operator, and hadn't had the best luck with women. That he's found a girl that treats him right and makes him happy in turn made me pretty happy.

Fist pump. Happy Birthday, man. We should co-celebrate at the 12 o' clock that separates your birthday from mine.

You ever seen Born of the 4th of July?  I'll bet you have.  That was a terrible movie.

4th of July makes you all happy?

I swear, if I have to sit in some grass to watch bombs thrown in the air explode, with bugs crawling all over me, I shall be sad.

You crazy Americans with your crazy holidays.

You even have Thanksgiving a month after we do.

Crazy.
