I'm not sure how it works when Toady blasts threads, because he doesn't like banning (or muting or whatever) people without making it clear to the rest of the forum, to avoid confusion and hammer the point home. If he doesn't say something, I'd assume it's just a warning. But I really don't know.

Well, in his thread where he claimed that a mad person threatened children with a gun and how he himself was shocked about that, just a few posts later, he described with pride how he and his friends got some weapons so they can rob a drug addict to get his drugs and how they used force in their assult IIRC.

I hope I didn't mislead you by my shortened summary (I guess people would think of banks when they hear robbery first).
