That movie wasn't enjoyable for me at all. I know that's the point, but still. The whole thing made me just want to turn it off.

If you want a similar effect but way more hardcore watch Requiem for a Dream. Better yet, watch it alone with headphones cranked. It affects you, man.

Fear and Loathing is insightful, funny and depressing.

Requiem for a Dream just makes you want to take a bath with bleach and brillo pads afterward. Fear and Loathing may have it's exceedingly low moments...but it at least it has some up moments as well. There's little redemption to be found in Requiem.

You'll never be able to fully appreciate why that's so damn funny.  The video block by the Australian government?  The music video to Midnight Oil's Blue Sky Mine.  That Australia has banned it makes the reference a million times better.

If you're talking about the other link, it's Gimme Back My Bullets by Lynyrd Skynyrd.  Which is an awesome song that should be remade by a hard rock band now that the copyright has expired, instead of a million country western bands.
