When you were four?  Well yeah.  I've watched a few episodes lately, and it's a show from a very weird period in American animation.  There's a whole bunch of Pinky and the Brain episodes that look more like they were made just to be watched by the cartoon's animators themselves, with incredibly dry extended gags about voice acting, old movies, and late-night talk shows.  Animaniacs and Tiny Toon Adventures had loads of moments like that too, these really weird, insular jokes and references that I laughed at then, because I knew they were funny but I didn't know why.

That's the key to making a famous cartoon - pack it with jokes your target audience will only understand a decade after you're canceled.
