Don't diss Fate.  It's the same people who made Torchlight, which everyone creamed themselves over, and it's not bad if you don't mind simplicity.

Don't get me wrong, Fate gave me many hours of fun, despite the fact that it was yoinked from Diablo II.

Only thing I didn't like about the game was the childish-looking characters, and that the pet cat would annoyingly go "MRRRRRAAOOWR!" whenever it got hit. I spend all day hearing that sound I don't want to hear it in games.

Awesome game though.

Fate 2 was painful to play... so badly repetitive.  Torchlight was less so, but didn't improve much... my most hated feature is the gems.  To get the best ones, you have to keep buying then combining and combining and combining... I don't think I got a single gem of maximum quality by the time I decided enough was enough.  Beat the game, but didn't get far with the end game content.

What? You don't NEED the best gems, and you can get plenty for combining in the dungeon. Not to mention they were in diablo as well... and diablo had no way to get them back after using them.
