There are only 72 days until I'm 20, and thus no longer a teenager.  So close...

Wait I'm older then you? I thought it was the other way around, honestly.

Enjoy it while you can kid.

Well, I should be happy, and while I'm not exactly happy with myself, I'm happy knowing other people are.  My father is proud, despite giving the strongest evidence ever that all his efforts to make me cool completely failed.  As much shit as he gives me and as hard as he tries to fuck up my life (when he's drunk anyway), he does recognize how important it is for me to be straight-laced, if only until my probation is over.  My grandmother who I need to squeeze money out of is proud of me, mainly because the problem-solving money I've wound up leaching out of her is pocket change compared to what she's spent on her son (my father).

You can see what I have to work with.  Now the two biggest thing I have to depress me are that I never know if he is going to make it home, free or alive.  And he couldn't begin to fathom what else goes on (or doesn't in my life).  But I'm not going to let that bring me down.  I had a lot of fun today, and nothing bad happened for it.  That's pretty damn happy.

What's this about musicals not being masculine? That's ludicrous, musicals are a rich part of the theatre tradition and spent a lot of time being dominated by male artists (to an extent, this is still very true today). But don't take my word for it, ask the fellow who got a start in his career doing musicals about how much he dominates:
