Oh yeah, one last thing (99% certainty),
 it is advised to switch the key layout to a layout where you can run,
 jump and attack simultaneously more easily.
I have:
Run = Shift
Jump = Space
Whip = F

That way I can teeter-totter my thumb and fifth finger
 like it ain't no thing.
That has actually made the game easier by minimizing key locking. Thanks for the tip.

And something else that made me a bit happy. I finally got a PS2 emulator to work properly on my machine and slayed my first colossus (though some of it, graphics and sound, was a bit choppy). Now I no longer need to try to leapfrog my PS2 from my room and my sister's room.

I've had enough of doing that, and I can think of some uses of PS2 emulation on my machine anyway; for one, easier memory card maintainence, properly playing my old games again (backups of course) along with some rare titles one cannot find anymore (like Ico for example) and I think I can backup my games and not have to worry about my CDs' usual fates whenever they're borrowed (it's not a pretty sight). And lastly, I might be able to livestream them; of course, I'll have to uber-nerf the graphics and maybe even sound quality to make it playable.

Now then, to claim my birthday/Christmas gift of an upgrade or 2 for my computer to further help out within next week. My machine could use a little boost, at least for the PS2 emulation. Considering that, I might get around to playing FFX again, that game was pretty decent.

Darn shame XBOX emulation hasn't been improved upon yet. my old machine's a dust box, and I don't have any working controllers (plus one of my others sisters has the only working controllers). I've been wanting to play Panzer Dragoon Orta for the longest time. That was such a fun game.

Well, before I can commit myself to some next-gen classics, I gotta go finish Bloodfist first.

I use a controller, it's much easier.

New competition for year 11 pupils.

Top prize: trip to the Galapagos Islands.  Contest: to genetically modify E Coli and show photographic evidence of what you've done.

Man, I barely even care about the prize, a chance to screw around with the building blocks of life is more than enough.  Especially since my Dad's friend showed me the E Coli he had which glowed on and off.

How do you do this?

Do you mean modifying it through artificial natural selection (derp) and Mendelian shenanigans, or do you mean chemically altering its genetic structure?

Apparently, it's not nearly as difficult as you'd think.  You have to isolate the correct gene you want and get it to implant in the correct place in the target organisms.  E Coli's good for this because it's extremely mallable.

In short, some things are a lot easier to do than you'd think.  Specifically, making something glow doesn't require a huge amount of skill or money (although it does require some jellyfish DNA).

Isn't making something glow the easiest thing to do? Or something.

Well, not the easiest thing to do.  Randomly mangling DNA is the easiest thing to do.  It's definately the easiest cool thing to do though.

Give it immunity to antibiotics and make it extremely deadly.

Give it a taste for human brains and plant it in uncooked meat.

Well... it wouldn't do much unless you friggin' drank it.  And there's worse stuff you can drink in a lab.

Oh my God, I just had the best idea for a web series ever. Ever.

When I'm 18 I'm going to enter it into the Escapist competition or something, I don't know.
