Last night a huge fat slug was on the balcony. I collected him in a dustpan and tossed him down to the roof below, but then I realized I had probably killed him. I just wanted to relocate the poor guy, not kill him, since I'd feel bad for killing something as helpless as a slug. Today I looked down to the rooftop and saw a long slime trail, meaning he probably got out of it OK. Yay!

This caused me to look up slugs as I don't know much about them.

I discovered that during mating their penises can somehow cause them to get stuck together, (Their hermaphrodites)in which case the slugs chew off each others penises.

Slugs are an amazing creature, and yes it is biologicly sound for them to chew off their mate's male reproductive organ if it gets stuck, since it only decreases the mate's reproductive ability by half...

Also some slugs are heavily resistant to being eaten by other things, like snakes...

Shame about their having poor osmotic ballance toward massive quantities of salt...or they would rule the world!

There's the whole "really really really small and totally unable to stand up to fire or any modern weapons" thing as well. But other than that, yeah.

Obviously in such a case the slugs would be the size of men and would have Snail Infantry.

I was not aware that you had a deep grasp of exactly how the future and AI will happen.

I learned how to make my own Garfield-minus-Garfield randomizer no longer random (IE- I figured out how it works, at least, manipulating the results). Of course, to be fair, I'm sticking to the randomizing. It's more fun that way. But learning it helped me recreate a good one I came across that I was too hasty with hitting F5 that I missed.

Plus, I learned much about (en)coding and such through figuring it out (since it was a minor derail I took interest in). I learned something new. Always nice.

There's a spambot about. Which makes me happy in the same way bullies make me happy.

It's fun to screw with 'em! Hahahahahah!

We must not allow this bear to encourage any others! We must quell the insurrection before it starts! Make this bear an example!

Worry not, lads. 'Dis be a black bear.

You cannot train him.

He'll go down it the next siege, just chain him at the gate.

In other news, I just got a hand-me-down laptop from my uncle. It's small and old and videos don't stream very well on it. It's battery doesn't work either, so it always has to be plugged in. I'm happy anyway, because at least it's still somewhat portable and still runs Paint and word processors. I still haven't tried to play any games on it though, I wonder what it would run...

EDIT:
$100 for a replacement battery!?!

I am probably the proud owner of a pair of samurai-style stirrups.  They are engraved with images of pumpkins.  Hell yeah.
