Just chilling on a Sunday and playing video games. This is the first time in a while I've been able to do this.

I just finished reading through the TvTropes pages of what is potentially the most tragic, horrifying, and/or hilarious story of them all.

It is minimalistic in its approach, most of the story is given by the framing device, rather than the plot. So minimalistic it is, that the characters aren't described in more detail than absolutely necessary, because the main focus of the story is the message it is meant to deliver.
While it initially looks like one of these stereotypical fairy tales that you tell your children, about self confidence and being nice and all that shit that you tell them before bed time, but it eventually becomes much darker in tone, while never losing all of its initial humour.

And from the beginning to the end it keeps on bringing these plot twists that, while out of nowhere, do make some sense when you think about it. For instance, the protagonist, who has been portrayed as sympathetic until then, does terrible things at the climax of the story. And it works, because we have been given hints as to that happening.

I would keep talking about it, but this post is already several times larger than the story itself.

And that didn't help.

This thing looks awesome and more importantly it has giant robots therefore I want to see it
You forgot to mention that the robots are fighting Eldritch horrors. That's the best part.
I love Del Toro's stuff.

Saw the trailer for that a few hours ago, while going to see The Hobbit. Needless to say, Goblin King Wobblebeard was hilarious/disturbing to look at.

Turns out that's the actual GlaDOS voice in the trailer, apparently they got permission from Valve to use it

Can't believe I somehow missed this video, it's pretty damn epic.

Basically in one of ShackTac's games a newbie by the name of John is the last survivor of his squad, he's left badly injured, passing in and out of consciousness on a hillside. Fortunately a very friendly Dsylecxi is there to help him out... unfortunately John doesn't seem to have realised that Dsylecxi isn't on his team. Hilarity ensues.

New computer. :D

Also, I really don't mind Windows 8.  Of course, I've already used a Windows Phone for awhile so it's just the same thing to me on a computer.
No M rated games.

No Steam.
Wow. Really?
All the more reason to dislike Win8.

Yeah, not really. First thing I did was install Steam and download a few game. Not to worry, there are plenty of other reasons to hate Win8. On a happy note, I'm full of curry and chai.

That was the first ShackTac video I watched, and now I'm subscribed to CHKilroy, Beagle, Dyslecxi, and Taconic on YT. They put out some of the best gameplay footage on the 'net. So there's another reason for happy.  :)

I thought that voice sounded familiar. Best thing about the entire trailer, really.

I kind of imagine he probably was laughing, but he had the sense to turn his mic off before he did.
