The Senate deserves kudos as well, they passed this resolution back in September, 100-0.

When Obama signs it this is going to be the most approved piece of legislation to go through in years. And the best part is that even if for some absurd reason he doesn't sign it, it already doesn't matter!

I wonder if those 38 representatives abstained, or were just on vacation. None of the bill tracking sites have been updated yet.

EDIT: Wait I found one. 34 abstained, including lovely names like Michelle Bachmann, Todd Akin, and Ron Paul (though there's a fair number of Dems in there too).

38 of 435 being absent for one reason or another sounds normal enough. Even if they were abstaining, I imagine it was more of a "I don't care" abstain than a "I want to vote against this but am not brazen enough to do so" abstain.

It is already illegal to eat babies. Congress had not stated a position on the UN's actions before now, and now they have. I don't see anything wrong with it just because it was unanimous.
