I can't even write in a way that is readable even to me. So any kind of drawing that doesn't involve digital manipulation is right out for me.

It's not even that I have bad hand-eye coordination, it's just that anytime I want to draw a line somewhere WHOOPS off by thirty degrees at the very least.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

First real food in four days (not counting the cup of chicken broth I made from bouillon in a frenzy at 2am last night)

OHGODSOGOOD

Also, this morning, I knew I had a mission: Rehydrate.

Step 1: Procure 1 gallon of Gatorade.
Step 2: Drink the Gatorade all day.
Step 3: ???
Step 4: PROFIT!

Mission accomplished.

Wonder how an illustrated version of "Little Bunny Van Gogh" would play out...

Considering it would apparently start with the ear thing, probably hilari-- horrifically.

After a shitty day of work (due to awful luck and staffing problems, I was there 15 minutes late and didn't get lunch, hooray for minor problems), I am home for a three day weekend. And I have just the plan.

Starting tomorrow when I wake up, I shall imbibe sufficient caffeine to power through the following 64 hours without sleeping. And I shall limit myself to text-only entertainment - reading and writing mostly. No Skyrim. We'll see how long my willpower lasts and I inevitably break that promise. I expect my words will be quite silly by the end, at any rate. Probably I'll have to sleep first. I'll cook up a feast tomorrow that should last me through the following two days, and be well-stocked with vitamins and minerals and all that stuff I need in order to not die.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
