I particularly like how much the Final Boss fight takes from Dante's divine comedy.

Exactly, pretty much all of it does.

Even that move of his "Fallen One," which reduces your party's health to 1 HP, goes on the Dante theme.

"Fallen One" = Satan = Dante's Inferno reference. You're fighting the devil with an evil, annoying laugh.

Comic relief?

I mean as I recall, the guy starts out as a boss you're supposed to take seriously and then gradually gets repeated and "rebeated" to the point where he's nearly a joke. Until, finally, he just ends up having some job in the Colosseum.

Unless of course you mean how does Ultros fit into the Divine Comedy thing of the game. I dunno. I'm pretty sure Kafka does, but I dunno about the rest.

Once again literary analysis is thwarted by a giant octopus....

Suffice to say, Kefka is both Satan and God, although I'm sure you've read the Divine Comedy and can guess why.

I love you, Truean. Let's go out.

Anyway, my happy today is that I got to work in another Polish warehouse.

I don't even know why that makes me happy! It just does! :D

Maybe there's a kind of zen component to it? I know that applying price stickers to books at the Salvation Army is pretty relaxing.

So tonight's dinner!:

Slow cooked pulled pork, mixed in with my own special sauce, on potato bread.
Noodles with white sauce, flavoured with leeks.
And a fresh fruit salad for desert.

Yum. And leftovers for daaaaaays.
