When I was in high school a seventh grader ate a mango (skin included) and the resident know-it-all, who in reality knew very little, laughed and went around telling everyone that mango skin was poisonous, pointing it out over and over and over again to the same group of people, and pretty soon they were all doing.  It was the single most retarded thing I've ever seen in my life.

Oh, and I thought that, while mango skin isn't poisonous, it's still not a great idea to eat it, since:

b) Some people are allergic to it.

MMMmmm. The Catering Deli right near my work has All You Can Eat BBQ for $10 on Thursday. So my lunch was a plate piled high with tri-tip, ribs, chicken, potatoes, and a caeser salad so I could pretend it was sort of healthy. Made me quite happy.

My friend did her thesis on Tintin in the Congo (I'm assuming that's what that is) as relates to imperialism or something, and ended up presenting it in London this past summer.  She is such a goddamned superstar it's infuriating.  I still haven't gotten around to reading either work though.
