Oh my god.  I want LEGO Serenity so hard.
Though some scale comparison between the characters and the ship would have been nice.  Also, I wonder how internally accurate it is?  The cockpit at least looks pretty accurate.

~70,000 piece LEGO recreation of Serenity. Weighs 135 pounds, 7 feet long. Hells to the yes.
Wow, that's more than I weigh. Legos are pretty heavy.

According to the article I read, the inside is as accurate as he could make it but with the engine room left out for structural reasons. The engines actually rotate, shuttles actually detach and the engine glows.

You also got nuclear powered observation instruments on the moon. And in the ocean.Though that one was supposed to stay on the moon with the Lunar lander of Apollo 13

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I'm surprised the LEGO connections can keep it together under its own weight. I'd expect it to fall apart.

It's not that they're heavy, it's that there's a fucking lot of them, about 7 feet of them. A person that tall would weigh a lot more.

There are ways to reinforce lego constructions.

The simplest and most permanent solution is superglue.

The double prong pieces used to connect 2 technic pieces create a surface the rip zones.

You can also use larger technic pieces to create reinforcement points that run across the "grain" of a lego stack.

So I was out smoking in front of the building, when I notice a juvenile (less than 6" long) rabbit hopping along the searing pavement in the middle of a semi-busy industrial ghetto.

I'm conflicted because you don't mess with baby rabbits....and then someone makes the decision for me, when a guy who works in the building bikes by and happens to roll over the baby bunny's foot. Cue squealing bunny, blood on the pavement and much swearing from the both of us.

So I took him into the bay, where he seemed to be going into shock, and straw-fed him water until Animal Control showed up to take care of him.

I feel pretty good, considering I totally changed that rabbit's fate, from Hassenfeffer cooked on the sidewalk to, hopefully, a mature rabbit with a decent life span.

Normally I don't catch every stray I see, but I was like man, that rabbit deserves better than bleeding and frying to death on the pavement. Take care, wittle bunny.
