I bought an "electrician's belt" (more like a kind of pocket thing you hang from your belt). I think I could carry it under my whitecoat and have notebooks, pens and instruments in it...

My perverted game had 230 contestants already.

Given I host it only for few hours once per week or two, I'm proud that it's still popular. And just remembered it's going on for more than 14 months!

Makes me warm and fuzzy from satisfaction :)

Caught Prometheus this weekend. Despite some weak characters (CEO/Bitch Queen of the Universe, I'm looking at you and your lack of character development), David the android made up for it. I really liked the setting, and the feel of slowly uncovering the secrets of a desolate planet. I also like how, despite being an Alien prequel movie, they minimized the importance of The Alien in favor of other plot elements and stuff, to tell a story that wasn't dealing with the same themes from Alien and/or Predator.

The plot definitely had weak points; for a trillion-dollar expedition into deep space, they were pretty poorly prepared, and few of the explorers had the right mindset for the mission. Even though it was funded by an eccentric billionaire, I'd imagine you'd spend more time handpicking people for something this important, rather than raffling off seats on your "Origin of the Species Express", lest it turn into the "U.S.S. Natural Selection". Also, speaking of Natural Selection, there was a lot of needless gore there; I almost couldn't watch large parts of the film because they showed every bit of gore they could at times. It got to be really disgusting at parts, and I think it could have gone a little lighter on that and still served its purpose.

I particularly liked the "What would you give to know the answers" (or whatever) question David asked the guy before handing him his drink.

Consent is important.

Don't tell anyone that you can see their shadows. If they hear you telling anyone, if you let them know that you know of them, they will get you.

So, you thought you'd like to go to the show? I heard there is a big chance of Pink not being well, unfortunately. The way those fans are, it could even end with a trial.

So I played through Max Payne 3, I have to say, I liked it. The gunplay was fun and well done, and I quite enjoyed the story side of things, even if the plot itself was a bit crazy.

The characters and setting felt... "realistic" is the wrong word because it's basically a noir-esque action movie in game form, so I'm going to say the characters and setting felt believable to me.
Everyone in Brazil spoke Portuguese, and neither I, nor Max understood a word of what was being said, which was something I loved. I could understand everyone's motivations, and nobody did anything that felt really out of character, the game was very well written despite the cheesy style of things.

I think the game gets a solid A in my book.

If that's the case, I'm sure they'll send a surrogate band.  By the way... which one's Pink?

They abandoned the comic book angle?

I was gonna check this out myself, though. I have fond memories of number two. The thing that makes me most excited about it is that with Max Payment out, there will be more news on GTA V too.

There's some comic book influences, but yeah, they seem to have mostly abandoned the comic book angle. They also seem to have mostly abandoned the Noir aspects of it. The previous two games were set in a city where you ran around in urban settings where it was permanently night. This game is set in Brazil, and it's usually pretty sunny. But it still has Max, and he's still depressing. Also he is more drunk and addicted to pain killers than ever, and he still refuses to die, it's a mystery how his body does it.

Oh and err, a friendly warning about the game. It's 28.5 gigabytes in size, I think it's all the videos and voice acting that went into it.

Heh, I haven't even checked if I can run it. I hope I can.

Also, those painkillers he keeps chewing? Valkyria-derived.
