I think I recognized just about every character/race that appeared on screen, some of them, on a first name basis. I loved how the Arilou danced telepathically. As usual, Roger Wilco was sleeping on the job. Would've been funny to watch an Ur-Quan struggle with it due to their size, or a Dynarri controlling someone else (an Umgah) to dance for him.

Well the two people you see at about 2:58 just after the Spathi are Grey and Kyo from a little known webcomic called Inhuman. I'm guessing that means there's a lot of other fairly obscure webcomic characters there too.

Anyway, in the top left, there's a running title, telling you what the characters are from.

Decided to try another VGNG project, this time considering my abilities and picking something I can actually do, and prioritize properly (e.g. not spending the whole time making sprites.)

Formula for a VGNG project:  Go to VGNG and get a randomly generated video game name.  Google the name to get some ideas if you need them.  Make the game, in whatever language, engine, etc. you prefer.  I use Game Maker 8.

The first one was Extreme Beast Deluxe, but I've been on the internet long enough to know not to google that.

The second one I struck gold.  Radioactive Sniper in the Outback, fuck yes.  Here's what I'm thinking.  Top-down shooter with mouse aiming.  I've done that before on GM8, it's not hard.  You're a sniper, sent to kill some target.  Maybe eventually there'll be multiple levels with multiple targets but for now just one.  You've gotta sneak through the outback to get to the target, possibly with some kind of rudimentary stealth mechanic.  Enemies will be soldiers, other snipers, bogans trying to glass ya (ya poof), etc.  If you take too long on a screen the bunyip will come after you.

Also you're radioactive.  You have to continually find radioactive areas, nuclear waste, and the like, to keep your radiation level high, or you'll die.

I'm writing up a full design plan now.  It'll be a simple game, but if it starts to look like I might actually do it and take more than a few days, I'll make a Creative Projects thread.
