Will? I'm pretty sure everyone around here routinely fails their Will checks against procrastination.

Anyway, my uncle came over and helped lay OSB on the kitchen floor, and then place linoleum on that so it looks like we have a brand new floor. Man, it feels really weird walking around and not having the floor creak and groan down. It just feels wrong having the floor be this sturdy, as odd as that sounds.

EDIT: Also, this picture my friend found:

I'm going to a big reunion for the Christian club I used to hang out with at my last college.  I'm not sure how many of them know I don't believe in God and know that I'm gay.  At some point, I may have to explain myself.  I'm ok with this though.  I spent four years with these people, even if they believe I'm an abomination/sinner/sodomite, I'm willing to extend the hand of friendship and hope they don't bite it off.  If they treat me like a person still, maybe there's hope that Christians can accept gays.  If they treat me bad, I'm more than willing to join the "Christians suck" "God sucks" brigade.

Should it not be the other way around? It are (if thing do not go as you hope they will) your friends who choose to assume the intolerance they grew up in has a (true) religious foundation. Not the God who never said a clear word about it.
Taken from the sad thread.  And yeah I guess it should be the other way around, but I tend to level my hate more against God for being so... contradictory.  He's supposed to be an all powerful, loving God but he turns a blind eye to most of the horrible things that go on in our world.  I honestly understand his believers (but do not agree with) more than God.  Which is weird.

Anyway :D  I went to the reunion FOR SCIENCE!  I honestly wanted to know how it would feel to be in a Christian gathering after I gave up being Christian and embraced being gay.  Turns out, not too awkward, but wouldn't make a habit of it.  And the reunion went great!  Only a couple people knew about my gayness and non believy in Godness and they were very honestly glad to see me anyway.  Many hugs were had.  They had communion while I was there (!!!) but it seems no one really noticed that I didn't partake in it, I chose not to because I would have felt very disrespectful.  They also did it a really new way too, instead of handing out crackers and little glasses of grape juice, people take chunks of real bread and dip 'em in a wine glass filled with grape juice.  That bread looked really yummy too o_o

I'm going to start messaging some of those old friends through Facebook and texting them now and then.  It was nice seeing them again.

edit:had a thought... have most of you had negative experiences when dealing with Christians?  I think the answer is yet but I still want to know :/  I wonder why this group is so different and nice than the other groups I hear about.

[Bluff]As for my bank info, all my fortune is invested in a solid gold bust of cyborg Bob Saget, which I keep inside the pillow I sleep with every night.  It's a very large pillow.

Oh good, I'm not the only one, I was starting to get worried. Although mine are of werewolf Bob Saget.

Whitefox, that's like the time I was on my pushbike and the back wheel buckled when I was going down a hill at 40km/h.

I don't think that bicycle tires are designed to go 25 mph for extended periods of time.  :P

Welp, I just woke up to Matt Pinfield singing The Who songs in my living room, before me, him and my roommate busted out a box of vinyls, blasted some Roxy Music and other epic shit, and rocked out at 3 AM, after I somehow managed to convince my mother to buy her and I tickets to the Roberto Carlos (Brazilian music LEGEND) show hours before it starts, somehow got the best seats in the house, both of us got drunk, chick I'm into also got drunk and we flirted all night, then suddenly Matt Pinfield is in my fucking living room, I contemplated pulling my gun out of my drawer and had my throwing knives on my bedside table but I realized I recognized his damn voice, threw shorts on and ended up rocking out with him and my guitarrist til around 4ish.

On a less happy note, I now work Saturdays from 10 to 1 PM without any pay raise, which blows, but whatever. No one ever comes in so I can just dick around online, blast music, and relax in the air-conditioned office by myself, muahahahahah. I'm also finalizing my licensing and will be owning 50% of the company I work at in 6 months time, and am going to a concert in NYC (Gramercy Theater, X-RX/Aesthetic Perfection are playing) with said cute goth chick.

THE FUCK IS GOING ON WITH MY LIFE.

This was definitely a good choice to pic out of the tvtropes fanfic reccomendations for nanoha, and is probably the thing thats made me the happiest today.
I'd been avoiding that due to general leeriness of certain crossovers, but apparently I'll have to give it a roll.

I... I...

... I think? I'm now not sure. NanohaxJob sounds familiar -- I mean, I know I've seen the summary before, but now I'm thinking it might have got me to read it, because I kept thinking Job instead of job. I have no idea how the former would work!

Damnit, brain. I know you've read gods only know how many millions (billions now? More?) of words of fanfiction, but you're usually better at remembering which ones you've already ravagedread. I blame that fic for being small. I have trouble remembering the ones smaller than a hundred thou', cause it only takes like two-three hours to read sometimes. Nyaargh!

I suppose I'm a bit late. But yes, that fic stands out, both as being a good Nanoha fic, and because the author actually bothered to try and keep the two verses balanced.

Incidentally, here is a fic with a similar concept (CharacterxJob; takes job to kill time), except with Negi instead of Nanoha. It isn't finished yet. And it also isn't the rubbish one where the Negimaverse people constantly show up everyone, act OOC to allow the author to do Take Thats at Malfoy et al., and so on.

Incidentally, for your daily dose of happiness, Harry Potter and the Eagle of Truthiness, a short and sweet HPxStephen Colbert crackfic with Colbert taking the position of DADA professor. It sounds absurd, and it totally works.

Generally I've had pretty positive experiences. I just don't bring up anything related to religion and am willing to play along if somebody notices that I'm not partaking of rituals and asks me to. Generally, in my experience, it's not worth starting an argument over, but part of that is because it's mostly family and I don't really want to be the jackass who starts a huge argument at a family gathering over theology. Typically, though, religious stuff is secondary to having a good time. Also there are funerals, but like hell am I going to tell people their religion is wrong at one of those. The Westboro Baptist Church, I am not.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

In all seriousness though, I've been ultra-stressed, sick, in pain, and I think I might be getting an ulcer again(gastritis has been causing me constant, immense stomach pain), but fuck it, I'm happy

Unless you are talking about a children's bike with no pedals, bike tires are MOST DEFINITELY meant to go 25 mph for extended periods of time. Have you ever seen a road bike? Easily goes 35 for extended periods of time. Mountain bike? Same thing. The only reason I can think of for having a wheel buckle would be a loss of integrity, eg. one or more broken spokes.
