As online advertisements go, this one was pretty nice.

Also, apparently Peter Molyneaux left Microsoft-owned Lionhead and is going Independant. Wonder if this means a revival of inventive games from him, like Populus, Magic Carpet, and Dungeon Keeper? Who knows!
I'm not holding my breath. The problem at Lionhead wasn't MS, it was Molyneaux. Dude's got a great creative mind, but he bites off more than he can chew, and then doesn't know how to pare it down to a realistic project.

But hey, if he wants to do a Magic Carpet III, I'm totally down with that.

Suddenly, lionhead makes fable 4 and it's absolutely fantastic.

I know he is full of himself, I know he dreams big, and tends to promise more than he produces... I think he just gets so excited by ideas that he loses sight of practicality sometimes. Still, you have to give him credit, for having created the God Game genre with Populous, founding notable companies like Bullfrog, and producing some interesting concept-games through his career.

He seems to be excited to go Indie, because it lets him play with new concepts and technologies, such as Cloud Computing... that and working with a small team, where most of his time is spent working on games rather than running meetings to get others to make a game as an Executive Director.

Oh, and the next sans-Molyneaux Fable game? It's a Kinect-Only shooter. I'm not kidding. Good job Microsoft.

No doubt that was purely to piss him off. Or do they actually think that was good business decisi-. Don't tell me people actually buy this crap. Please tell me people don't buy that crap.

Re: google zerg rush thing

The whole thing was entertaining, but I burst out laughing when they wrote out GG at the end. That is awesome.

Not trying to start an argument, but I could use the same logic to say "I know he uses the same "plot twist" device to death, I know he leaves plot holes big enough to drive a truck through. Still, "The Sixth Sense" was a great movie, so you have to still be interested whenever M. Night Shyamalan announces a new movie project!"

After a certain point, one's early successes can't counterbalance the recent failures.

I can see the sense to that... but maybe I'm strange in that regard. I like to recognize that even M. Night Shyamalan did make some enjoyable movies. George Lucas had a big hand in the first Star Wars movies too, despite having directed the new trilogy.

I can appreciate the old, and still find the new pretty silly and uninteresting. I am, however, interested to see how 22Cans studio does, and what changes. I can't flat-out hate Molyneaux, since I love several of the things he made, and appreciate his spirit, if nothing else.

Oh, and in an interview, Molyneaux admitted to having created the Molydeux character as a self-parody.

Yeah, I lost faith in him around...uh, the time that the hype for "Project Ego" started hitting the fan of reality.  But he still gets my /respect/ for his old work.

Explanations are unnecessary.

HAH!
Not only did I get through my latin exam today, I also got to the part of Touhou Labyrinth where the second battle theme starts playing. The only flaw with it is that the battles are far too short for it! :'(

That is amazing.

In personal happy, the people who tried to convert me today didn't do it by screaming about how I was going to burn in the lake of fire, for a change.

Also, I found out today that Golden Crisp/Puffs go fantastic with yogurt. And I don't usually even like cereal with yogurt.

Also also, I had a dream about watching TV with Adam Savage. Then I woke up for a while, then went back to sleep, and apparently I had fathered a child with some woman he was close to, and he was ticked off at me for it. Also in that second dream, I was a wizard, sneaking around and sniping creatures with spells.
