i learned to play the piano in school, took extra classes for it. convinced my parents that "this is what i want to do as a main hobby"

they bought me a piano.

the next year i decided to give it up, we still have the piano. I'm sorry mom and dad.

I just couldn't memorize anything but the simplest songs, couldn't keep getting better. I'm a better listener.

I played the trombone in middle school, and I completely sucked at it.  Mostly because I had absolutely no will or desire to practice, and missed the extra-curricular sessions, pissing off the band directors.  I never played at a single school game, and wouldn't have wanted to really.  I sometimes regret all that, since most of my high school friends met each other in the band.  But I'm a lazy man.

I would like to be able to play an instrument, but I never did or would have gotten along with all that regimentary crap that goes with school bands.  Come to think of it, my Dad didn't learn how to play the guitar until he was my age...

I played violin and cello, drums, I sing, and I can play the Song Of Storms on keyboard... Which is all that you ever need to play, really. Is it possible for a single repetitive tune on a flute to bring a tear to your eye? It is for me. And I'm Callous.

But yeah, basically I just played most of them for a few months until I got really good, won an award, and then got bored and stopped... Which kind of sucks. But meh.

I can play the saxophone, have played Tenor and Alto, and maybe Soprano once, I can't remember.  They're all pretty much the same from what I've seen, but the school band I was in usually used the tenor for more boring parts.  It was an amphitheater set up, and I was using the school's tenor saxophone for Jazz Band.  I was walking to the center and hadn't hooked up my shoulder strap when I tripped.  The saxophone collided with an obstacle and blew apart.  It was horrible.

If you played a Soprano Sax, you would remember.

It isn't bent and curved like the rest of the saxes, it's the size of a clarinet,
and it is very difficult to play well.

My friend Queso is a prodigy,
and he told me that it took him a proportionately long time to get good at it.
Then he played this on it, and I felt like stabbing him.

I have 12 years of piano lessons and six years of choir in me.

I'm pretty sure I can't do them at the same time.

Well, I had a post in the sad thread about realizing that I had few people to invite to a party I wanted to throw. One of the friends that I had been going to invite told one person by accident and soon my phone went crazy with roughly 70 texts from people who canceled other plans to come over, wanting to know what the dress code was like and what stuff to bring. Someone brought a full sized cake with them. It was awesome.

I'm happy because i finally went into prestige mode on modern warfare 2. I had been holding it off for when i finished the lightweight pro perk challenge. 250 miles of running around done, never to be done again.

well now that i have that out of my system, tomorrow i continue work on my X-Com LP

Pixelated rewards don't really hold much value to me anymore, of course I had my share of them not even a year ago...

General happiness lately, working on the whole starting up a social network again...
