I was given an original 1978 Superman Theatrical Poster and asked to sell it for someone.

I had to put petrified wood on it to keep it flat, It's been rolled up for over 30 years and desperately wants to remain rolled,
I've no idea how much something like this is worth.
It has a tiny rip at the top that has been taped, (tape is on the back as not to mess with the poster)

Anyone have any ideas as to what I should start the auction at?

I can't afford to get it appraised,
listing it on ebay now, going to start the auction at $50 and let people fight over it.
*crosses fingers* hopefully sells for over $50, well, hopefully it sells at all really.

I listed it for, with a rather lackluster ebay page, I'm no good at making fancy ones, well I could if I tried, but it's a lot of work.
So instead of getting attention for my auction that way, I'm taking the initiative, I'm signing up for a crapload of superman forums and fansites and posting about my listing.  Spreading the news, I hope to get a few superman aficionados mixed up in a bidding war.

$50 seems quite very cheap for an old poster like that. With bad luck you might only make $50.01 from it.
