Me and Janet just played a game of battletech over megamek. Using the standard beginner's scenario, a hunchback(Her) vs an enforcer(Me).

Game started with me getting hit right in the center torso on turn one with the AC/20, immediately stripping the armor. After that there was a game of chicken as I constantly used and abused the jump jets.

Eventually the showdown was brought to a level 4 cliff face. I was being a chicken for a bit before I decided 'fuck it' and got right up in her face point blank, I was planning to do a physical attack and push her off the cliff down two levels, but didn't understand the rules(first battletech game ever) and missed the opportunity. I critted her AC/20 though so no more of that hitting me, she hit one of my jumpjets.

After some more combat damaging each other with weapons and kicks, she eventually backed herself to the full cliff face, a 4 level drop, by then we figured out how to do the push attack... And I did.

Her hunchback fell down 4 levels, knocking out several gyros and doing SERIOUS damage. However I was also in serious damage, 2/6 engine internals were also critted and overheating terribly, so I hid on the cliff face for a while while she was stuck prone...

Then I got down to 9 heat and performed a death from above attack, soaring over the clifface and landing my size 318 boot onto her arm, destroying her.

This was my first battletech game. AND OH FUCK YES I LOVE IT.

Just shadow better watch himself. One on one he won, but although I haven't played in some time I'm a more experienced commander. When the rust shakes off things might get messy .3c
