Am I the only person here who's seen Escape From NY?

Vector, if you're looking for a terribly cheesy movie, you've found it. Now all you need to complete the trifecta are Bloodsport and Timecop.

When I was very young, I used to think that Snake Blisken was the same Snake from the old metal gear Nintendo game because... eyepatch.

Were you wrong to do so?

Hello, Bay 12, I'm back. Even though nobody probably knows me anyway. I guess no matter what I can't stop myself from coming back even though I took many "breaks".
 So, uhhh...what's new, I guess? >_>

hey tomas.

Escape from _ _ always reminds me of the Fortress movies, those are nice in that badass line of style.

Welcome! I seem to recall you as that guy with the second-most-delicious avatar.

Anyway, also, I've heard something about a movie called Freejack, in which Anthony Hopkins plays a villain trying to thwart something to do with a time traveling racecar driver, and Mick Jagger is an underling. Or something. I'm not entirely sure, other than that every word uttered made it more a movie I wanted to see for spectacle alone. It seems relevant.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

It had Emilio Esteves as the race car driver. My mother thought it was a "drug movie" based on the name alone. Even after describing the movie, she wasn't convinced it wasn't a a drug movie.

See? It's impossible to mention without somehow making it sound even more amazing.

Also, amazing discovery - cream of chicken soup with lime and a ridiculous amount of paprika is delicious as a sauce. Hell yes. I'm remembering this one.

Welcome back, tomas. Uhh, let's see....new DF came out, Vector's leaving to go learn all the things, we're sitting around laughing at how derp the US election season has been, and no more brony threads. I think that about sums it up.

EDIT: Holy crap. Was raging in the rage thread, then my wife texts me that her dad scored four free tickets to a hockey game next week. Day got better.

Then five minutes later, my boss emails me that I've been awarded a $1000 merit award for all my hard work. Day got MUCH BETTER.  :D

After not playing Dwarf Fortress for over a year, I came back here to download it again and saw that it's been exactly 1000 days since I joined. That's a pretty sweet coincidence right there.
