Yes.  I've done this a few times before, and it didn't stick.  Why didn't it stick?  Because I changed the password to something that was easy to remember and a pain to type, and kept wanting to "just check a little" (blah blah blah).  And also because I still had PMs sending to my main email account, so I had people going "Vector, I miss you!" and I ended up missing them instead of squaring with the fact that no, I was going off the net.

Wow, suddenly I'm glad I decided to give you some space instead of sending you PM's as I was tempted to do.

I hope this works out for you though. The few times I quite B12, it didn't really help. Not for your reasons, but because I either found other frivolous things to fill the void, or I didn't find anything at all and just sat around being depressed...

Good lord that was a bit scary for a moment. Forums were 504, then DATABASE ERROR, then everything was back to 2009, thne more 504s. But we're back to normal now, and it is good. Not having lost all the stuff I've done here made me happy tonight.

is about as good a reason as there can be for seeking change. I can't in good faith claim otherwise, considering how core similar reasoning is to my own attempts to motivate myself, and how many friends I've seen fall into giving up at the first significant obstacle.

Besides, if the Master's Degree works out I'm thinking of trying to pursue a PhD at Berkeley anyway in a couple of years, since they're one of two places that actually have the thing I want to work on. So... probably I'll just miss the chance of running into you. CURSES
