Galuf has the heart and soul of that game and you know it. He could be the most bad ass character ever from any medium and franchise.

I've only played FFI and FFVI. Looking around, FFV does look to be good though; I think I'll give it a shot next time I have a hankering for a classic RPG.

There's no better elderly badass than Galuf. Who is Kamina btw.

Also, job system... job system is the best thing in older FF's. In the modernish... eh, not that good. Especially not in FFX-2 >.>

I think it would have been sooo much better in X-2, if it was made harder to change spheres. So if there was some sort of drive gauge, and you could only change if you manager to fill it. I don't know why they didn't do that, as it would have also solved the balance issues with the unique spheres, because those things were so OP is was just broken.

There's at least one final fantasy/MGS crossover fanfic over 100k words. Not FFVII, but there's one out there.

Middlingly decent, not very impressive -- even by fanfic standards -- but it's readable and exists.
