That is, unless your mental image of being a 'spy' is putting on a sweet bandana and skulking around in a cardboard box.
Somehow I just got mental images of Sean Connery dressed as Rambo getting tossed in a dumpster.

Not so far off Snake, I guess...

Pnx

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.

Nah.  I would wager somebody who reads a lot would be a much better writer than one who doesn't.  Unless they're magically gifted with knowledge of words they should never know somehow.  And plot structure etc etc!

Hilarious. I'm magic.

I'm a bit late but wasn't the original quoteception that started the whole thing just a quote from another thread? Or was there something more?

It was a quote from another thread, which was quoting the original quote. And the quote timestamp was a minute *after* the timestamp of the post. Timetravel Japa is best Japa.

Honestly, I think one of the unspoken assumptions of being a spy includes "does not trip over own feet while trying to sit down."

If it's just "gets/ships information," yeah, I could generally do that.  If it's "gets information without drawing any attention to self," I'm fucked.  Apparently I stick out like a sore thumb.
See? You don't even fit the spy stereotype! No one would suspect a thing.
Actually, that's more important than people think (not fitting the stereotype). If you could blend in a foreign country as a common schlep (or even a common tourist/expat/exchange studennt schlep), you're a better choice than Slam McSquatthrust.

Is there anyone who doesn't enjoy at least one of the James Bond films?

Actually being in the business probably does have an effect, though. From what I understand it tends to either leans the viewer toward amusement (Look at this idiot doing everything wrong~) or disgust (Look at this idiot doing everything wrong!).

I imagine they watch it much like real forensic technicians watch CSI.
On the one hand, they're like "Man, I *wish* my job was that exciting..."
On the other hand, they're frequently like "No....just no. There is no face large enough for my palm."

Kinda like whenever I see the "computer hacking" portions of something like Mission: Impossible or Jurassic Park or NCIS.
