If your joints start feeling sore, you might be doing it wrong. Muscles you want to really give a work out, but if your wrist is hurting you should try something else.
Also, good for you! Always important to get some fitness in.

I'm doing another playthrough, only I'm reading it aloud to myself now (or rather mumbling so I don't wake people up). I know I'll never have the voice acting prowess of pop tart tragedy guy, especially since I keep cracking up, but in my head I can pretend to have the most glorious voice in the world.
I hope you enjoy Tohno Shiki.  He's one of my favorite protagonists ever.
Well he's kinda slooow... and I dislike the way he kinda craps rainbows, and every female character ever fawns over him.
The heart issue thing is a fun flaw for the character to have though (although I hate that they keep calling it anemia). The rampaging psychopath side to him is also quite fun. So I'm sort of 50/50 on him.

Thanks for the encouragement. My hands/wrists don't hurt, but I was just concerned that having my hands and wrists supporting my fat self may be unintentionally damaging them without my noticing.

I really did need to exercise today, if only to offset all the cake I ate today. It's even more depressing given the following discourse:

"Hey Mom, don't buy me any sweets. I know you think about me whenever you go to any store period, but I need to cut down."
"Ok, I understand."

And then she goes and buys TWO delicious cakes. Like, full-sized birthday cakes, for no reason at all; not for me, but for the family. I just can't help myself, it's something I so rarely ever get to eat.

Went to a great lecture on CUDA this morning along with another student with whom I plan on doing an independent study next quarter involving programming on the GPU with shaders and CUDA/systems like CUDA. We then found out about rCUDA,* a variation of CUDA which automatically distributes computing across a set of networked computers with GPUs. This will be quite interesting because of the facilities in the RIT Game Dev Lab. You see, the lab machines are all given to us by Alienware, and so are pretty much top of the line, with the newest of the 3 types we have containing 590 GTX cards. Most nights at about 1AM, everyone in the lab clears out; and a quick estimate based on the stats here puts the estimate of the computational power of the GPUs in the lab at somewhere in the 50 to 100 terraflops range. In comparison, my computer (capable of running any game on the market on at least high settings), has a GPU with about 1 terraflop of computational power, with a much smaller value for the CPU.

So now the question becomes: what can we make which will have an incredible visual result which is processed in parallel on thousands of cores in a couple dozen computers? We aren't quite sure yet, but it will almost certainly include physics and fractal generation. :3

*and/or our own implementation, as it may not suit our needs, and simple data processing clients may end up being easier/more efficient to use

It was pretty rad.

Epic dream! :D
I had three fairly distinct dreams last night, can't really remember 'em too well. I know in one I was some sort of Imperial Guard-type guy with a gunmetal blue-coloured chainsword, and I was working with some commisar guy to do... Something?
I dunno, I think it involved rescuing hostages from some place. Then in another, a friend and I were playing through this really, really hard old game, possibly on the Ps1, trying to unlock something at the end.
Eventually I think we managed it, and the unlocked item was somehow a physical object; a lump of stone or something with glowing reddish gems in it. We were pretty happy about that, but then we didn't save the game or something and the unlocked item disappeared, and we ended up having to start over. :P
I love sharing dreams.

Deciding to replay my old Pokemon games while the save battery stills has charge. Time to try all those glitches I was too proud to use before.

Watching Role Models, loving the LAIRE(LARP) scene.

Imagine an epic fantasy fight scene with Kiss members and the dead complementing their killers/inviting them to come again.

I don't know where all this wonderful alcohol came from. I'm really supposed to not be having any right now, but just for tonight, I can relax for a bit, maybe sleep properly tonight.
Good night.

That is... Somewhat worrying. Either you can summon alchohol with the power of your mind, or little unseen fey-type people are hiding it in your house with unknown intent. So much for relaxing and sleeping properly! :P
Night night, don't let the bed bugs bite unknown malevolent booze-summoning entities shank you in your sleep!

Most likely the latter. We have a cellar downstairs, and I can not even begin to tell you how much booze there is down there. I have long thought about arranging the wines in order of color, grape and date. Don't even know what I would do with the several bottles of scrumpy, and I wouldn't dare touch the mead.

If there is one thing my parents will not be lacking in case of zombie invasion, it is alcohol.

EDIT: Hey look, a bottle of biscotti flavoured whisky has suddenly appeared from the depths of the basement. <3

Awesome. But it would benefit from having a cheesy 1980's music video to go with it. Then again, what wouldn't?

Mmm, cake and hot chocolate make Shook happy man. Adding the incredibly awesome soundtrack from Trine 2 just makes it even better. c:
