When I was doing C++ I could never get the hang of where statements (or was it when statements?), so I used massive amounts of if then statements. Which made for really ugly inelegant code that functioned worse and got criticized by my teachers.

Perhaps you mean while statements? Not messing with them is probably a safe bet if you can manage it. Infinite loops are bad in compiled languages.

If you can't find it, grind it.

Yeah, I know that feeling. Only years after playing it the first time I discovered that there are advanced versions of EVERY Bros Move. Some of them are really hard to get.

It's not really that hard. It just takes forever because they're based on how many times you use the move successfully, and some of them have ridiculously high counts (I'm looking at you, Knockback Bros, with your requirement of 43).
