Was it good ice cream, though?

On the flip side, I'm now remember that... thing, in the more recent series. I think it was the competitor from... Jupiter? Giant phallus doom-robot thing. I really need to go find the pages that thing was introduced again, because I remember them being hilarious. E: Anomaly! That thing! Ahahahaha! Libido Cannon! "The Libido that defies logic and which humankind find shameful to display!"

Yeah, that thing cracked me up. Also Flan man.

Playing Deus Ex:HR. The scene where you are flying to Hengsha for the first time. After the first city, I was expecting another moderately interesting city design, but generally the same sort of feeling of 'modern city, but with more grime and electronic billboards.' Then the camera panned to view the city. A view which made me squee with delight at how awesome the design for the city is!
Spoiler: The view (click to show/hide)

Huh, it's FFVII all over again >________>

Or for that matter, New York in The Fifth Element.  But yeah, it does have more of a FF7 vibe, except for everything being orange.

Those bastards. Over the 00 decade I wrote a number of short stories and game scenarios using d20 modern set in a distopian cyberpunk city that would have looked almost like that. Except it was new orleans, and the under city was a flooded toxic cesspool and an empty shadow of its former self (exactly like real life) with a clean and pristine upper city plate held up by industrial arcologies well above the hazards of the wild city below.

Battle Angel Alita has you all beat.

I am too fucking good at Assassin's Creed.  More than half of my points in any given round are lures.

Protip:  When you're in first place and have multiple pursuers, use Morph on a stationary blend point, jump into a nearby haystack, and watch the magic happen.

Hm, Chantelise looks interesting. I'm too tired to get into it properly tonight, but the combination of sprites with polygons is odd in a way I find interesting, and the gameplay looks fun enough. For some reason, the atmosphere gives me a Monster Rancher vibe, at least at the beginning, and this is a good thing because I loved that game. I think I will like this.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I have no problem with enjoying them, but I really desperately want a detective story with two blazingly awesome female leads.

And the thing is, I feel like this: "Female, queer, non-neurotypical--pick one."

Give me a synopsis and I'll get started.

This made me smile.  I don't have any good ideas now--I really have to start defragging my brain tomorrow--but all the same, I feel pretty happy.

I'd accept 'Of equal merit,' though.

Incidentally, seeing that again brightened my morning.

My money is on Calvin. Not only because I'm more a fan of him, but also because his gun also doubles as a handheld transmogrifier, he owns a time machine, duplicator (with good/evil settings), and contained transmogrifier (All three as an all-in-one containment device); did I forget to mention he's pretty much a born engineer/inventor with philosophical level thinking and can care less about the limits of science? He can successfully safely crash land anything that gets shot down (Spaceman Spiff skill in action), has an iron stomach (according to the numerous bizarre foods he disgusts Susie with, along with his mom's cooking), can summon a mutant zombie snowman army (with no good/evil detection system), along with numerous other snow creatures, can visit Mars, can transform anyone and anything into an alien variation with "KA-ZAM!", makes scientific progress go "Boink!", he also tends to break the laws of reality regularly...

The list goes on.

Oh right, and Hobbes, just simply Hobbes.

The best part, and probably the reason you're smiling, is that I'm completely serious. I have a few more days off and I want to keep my writing skills sharp and maybe even get a fresh perspective on life in the meantime.
