I just ask up front.

I'm a horrible gift giver. If you don't tell me what you want, I'll spend 3 hours wandering stores and eventually be getting you some worthless trinket you don't care about.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Snap. It annoys me that other people know me so well as to get stuff I didn't even know I wanted until I unwrap it. As it is my family will be opening gifts saying "Yay, you got me that thing I bought for myself last week".

When you play The Witcher, set the language to Polish with English subtitles. The voice acting is better, and there's actually more dialogue.
Maybe I'll have to go back and try this, they certainly didn't seem to skimp on the English voice acting though.

My mom is extremely subtle when it comes to last minute christmas shopping. She woke me up at 8 AM and asked me if there was anything that I've been looking to buy recently, and said it was totally not for christmas and she was just curious.

Am I the only person who doesn't care about gifts being surprises?  I'm so sick of not know what anyone is getting or wants that I just ask, and then get something a little better, and something extra.

Of course, there's only four or five people I buy gifts for, and two of them are grandmothers so it kinda solves itself.

Then again, now I need to get something for my father, since he bought me a fucking brand new electric-acoustic.  Luckily I won't be seeing him until after Christmas, but aside from a dime-bag I can't think of anything he would even want, not that would approach a guitar.

I have a strict "no gift" policy.  It seems so un-holiday-like.  I don't mean commercialization, I mean stress and fuss and not being at home. Get yourself something nice, I'll do the same, I promise never to buy you anything.  But I will link you to things you might want to get for yourself!

Yay, braces off!

Now I have some sort of bar on the back of my lower teeth that stays in until my retainers are made.

But I can still eat whatever I want!

............................. where do you live?

Thats for me to know and the internet to hopefully never find out...

Just got my order in today. Two Gundam Surprise Pack #3's, Master Gundam & Fuunsaiki, and 00 Gundam Seven Sword. They said there weren't suppose to be duplicates which holds true except they seem to have sent the same Gundam marker.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
There is not a single store in my entire country that sells one of these :(

Just how much did those cost, anyway?
Total... Just under $200 not including shipping. I basically blew the budget I had been saving for my Renaissance Faire costume because with this last semester when I tried to do ren faire and school at a real college at the same time... Didn't exactly work out. Thus there is no point in getting my costume for the next 2-3 years and by the time I can go back to doing ren faire I'll have to spend another year or two getting back into good standing (have to buy materials from my group for uniform consistency since I'm part of the Queen's Guard) I have more than enough time to save back up.

Also for buying gundam models go here or here. The second one is good for looking up how a model will more or less look when built. It isn't a bad idea to read/watch a review of the kit either before you buy just in case. This site is pretty good for reviews though searching on youtube for works out pretty well.

The full size picture has been floating in the internet for ages, but seeing it being done left me feeling slightly emotional.

I really wish I ever stood a chance of having that kind of artistic skill.

Did I read that correctly? 1 layer this was all worked on? Besides applauding for an awesome piece of artwork, the artist also gets credits for taking on such an approach to it.
