I just learned I'm not going to be a dad.

So hey, this has been a weird year.

If this was about the close call from earlier: Cool to hear that didn't spiral out of control

If this is a new thing: Good... on ya bro?

Long story short, condoms can break. Be careful when using condoms. I love my girlfriend dearly but there is no way I'm having a child before I'm at least 25 and an 85% success rate on morning after pills combined with having to wait a month to see if it's worked has not done wonders for my stress.

But it did, and hey, lesson learned.

They're remaking the berserk anime and some manga arcs into a series of movies that will start being released on january 2012.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Well, damn.  I just want to read the original manga, though.  And have more time for everything.

Started playing a little bit of FFIV, though, which is nice--I've never played it before, or even read any spoilers.  Nostalgia for my early childhood.

The manga itself is pretty good, far more fucked up and violent then the anime was, not to mention absurdly long. There's an english translation floating on the web somewhere.

I hope you're playing the original SNES version, or the PSX rerelease.  The GBA one changed some stuff I wasn't comfortable with, not least being the translations and the addition of a bunch of Superboss endgame stuff that I feel detracted from the proper feel of the ending (letting you play with characters who... shouldn't be there, for instance).  It's a really good game though, maybe better than FF6 in pure gameplay terms.

Just watch out for the wall.  You'll know it when you see it.
