Step 1: No time travel. Elements from different time periods are going to be mashed up into the same part of the setting, or its backstory, or be worked into the ongoing story as a change to the world.

Step 2: Not actually a crossover, except for the Touhous who are basically the major source of characters to fill the same role that Espers did in FF6 (which means, yes, they actually do leave a magicite equivalent). But since I'm mostly mining character personality, archetypes, and setting elements, I'm not sure it qualifies as a crossover since I'm leaving behind the names, appearances, specific abilities, stories, and so forth. So while there is a character who very clearly functions as Several Cids+Banon+Gaspar+Sheik (But Not Zelda), at least in my current thinking, there's a lot of baggage that goes with those particular characters that's getting shrugged off. I'll say nothing more specific about it, since (as planned) I'll be running it online so I might as well try recruiting some of you people, if I can talk anybody into it.

Spinning ideas right now, but I can't put mechanics together until I finish the rule system. Which I suddenly have motivation to do, so hooray! Gonna be several months, at least, though.

So I'm pretty sure that makes you their Messiah or something.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Beavis & Butt-Head returned to MTV, and the newer episodes are pretty damn funny.

Although they don't riff on music videos (what were they again?) they instead riff on the "realty TV" shows that aired on MTV, and wow... They actually made those shows funny.

This Chrono Trigger/Final Fantasy 6/Ocarina of Time/Touhou mashup campaign setting idea that started whizzing around my head at work is disturbingly coherent. Plus a few nods to Illusion of Gaia and Secret of Evermore.
That sounds like an awesome campaign idea.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Halloween carnival at my church yesterday.  Some poor kid was dressed up as a Star Trek red shirt.  I think his parents must have a perverse sense of humour.

Set a new personal record: 25 tabs open in Firefox, each being used for some purpose, not one being TV Tropes. Then the power went out, and it turns out Firefox saves your open tabs. I love Firefox.

Working on modding Oblivion. Putting in 'Unnecessary Violence' and 'Deadly Reflex' - each of which has a new version or support out, making it much easier to install than last time. Still debating whether or not to go for FCOM.
I've put more time in modding my PC version than playing it. :P  (I've put well over 500 hours into my Xbox version, though.)

I can also make it to Azkanan's streaming this time. Fun stuff, there.

Aww what.

Britain never gets good amounts of snow. Ever. In fact.. The most snow I've seen was in colorado, when the double blizzard struck in 2006.

It's probably around 8 inches right now and still going.  Jeez.  My plans to go with my Dad were cancelled though since driving in this weather isn't safe.
