My old boss just called.  The one who had to close down his computer tech store due to health issues.

He is starting up another computer repair company.  This one has multiple sites, partners, and investors that will "keep the place running even if I drop dead" as he put it.  He wants to work with me again and offered me a job at one of the sites that are being put together.  This one will have most of the stuff I didn't like doing at the origonal store (housecalls, remote service) being handled someplace else.

This is such amazingly good news that once I got off the phone with him I giggled like a little school girl.  I loved that job, it payed well, I was confident in what I was doing, and I loved the people I worked with (most of whom are also being contacted with a position).

Compare this to my current job that involves punching in numbers, stamping paperwork, and listening to coworkers complain about stupid shit like how unjust the DUI penalties are, and how to get out of red light camera tickets, for minimum wage.

I don't know what the pay rate is yet, and it will still be a few weeks, but I could get paid HALF of what this job is paying me now and still be happy as a clam.

Playing Homeworld 2 and I'm really impressed by how the game looks.

I wonder if the developers have ever gotten around to working on a Homeworld 3? I mean, HW2 is many kinds of awesome, and the mod scene has it's fair share of awesome as well. You gotta check out Warlords: The Star Wars mod for it. The modders did a really good job with that as well.

Relic Entertainment Currently has three development teams, one for Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War, one for Company of Heroes and one for... Homeworld 3? Maybe?
