I, too, had some delicious hashbrowns today. Covered with a multitude of random spices that I'm not totally sure about.

1.) Good noodles; they cost $1.
2.) Local food bank will likely get the grant I wrote.
3.) My boss is no longer mad at me for "wasting time" writing it.
4.) My cat, though old, is not sick.
5.) Friend in rehab is doing better.
6.) Friend in child services is making friends.
7.) Was offered a position at a ... failing firm. Though it is failing, I'm honored nonetheless for the offer.

I just ran an 18:20 5k at my last league meet of the year. Next Saturday is Regionals, followed by State the Saturday after that. I think that's a 3 minute personal record over the time I got two years ago when we last ran that course. The best part? I'm pretty sure I could have gotten 18:00 if I had realized at the beginning how awesome I was feeling. I felt like an explosion! Really! It was like I had limitless energy, and nothing could slow me down save caution. Right after the race, I felt like I could do it again. I am super pumped for State.

Under 17:00, here I come!

Pretty decent mountain bike~
Not some real professional bike, but still better than the cheap things most people around here ride around in~

a good bike can withstand a 20ft drop with the owner on it. Whether you want to prove that is up to you.... err avoid speeding up and hop at the end of the drop and you can do it.

lucky you, i gotta synch my carbs and figure out how to mount my windshield as my mounts decided to shear off. X/

If I might make a recommendation? See if you can get your hands on the Asiapac graphic novel version of the Sanguo Zhi. Reading it in text can be a little like reading big chunks of Leviticus, with umpteen thousand characters that are introduced for just a few lines, just to be killed off by a bigger character, just so that you know that the bigger character is a badass. (Kinda like DF Legends, I suppose...)

Even in graphic novel format, it's 10 volumes. In text form, it's 65 volumes.  :o
The graphic novel is actually pretty good. It's obviously heavily abridged, but you'll get the important parts.
Thank you for the advice I'll have to think about it. I predict that I'll have problems with the many Chinese names in either version. I've also been told there are some decent tellings of the Norse Sagas in comic form but am yet to really look. I'm all comic'd out for the moment.

On a related note I'm greatly enjoying my second read of A Clockwork Orange. I remember understanding the sland better the first time and had hoped to understand the slang better this time. I'll have to look into his other work.

D&D is fun... Going to start a 4e campaign with some friends soon, and as you can guess they are going to standard min-max way, with their tiefling rogues, dwarf warriors, and elf rangers, how boring. So I'm going human wizard, taking a +2 in charisma and bluff as my extra skill.
So basically, try to talk my way out of what ever I can, if that fails then blast the crap out of it with magic, and if that fails then run like a bitch while some rogue cleans it all up.

The only thing more fun than planning to play d&d is playing...
