Well they didn't have Brazil, but under the advice of a friend I got my hands on mirrormask.
As far as weird films go, that one was pretty artistically epic. Every scene was eye candy.
Whoa. Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean and I didn't know about it?!

I just beat Nethack.  I did it.  Yes.  Me.  Squid.  Beat Nethack.

Yay
*slow clap*
*slightly faster clap as it gains momentum*
*Stands up and screams with joy*
*Cries tears of joy and joins the clapping*

A loud voice booms from the distance and says:

"Congratulations, zoologically dubious entity. You have won Nethack and earned yourself roguelike respect points.

However, if you're bored out of your mind and you have nothing to do, I'd like to see you finish Slash'EM and post your results here again.

You've already won Nethack, so I assume that you can play Slash'EM and win with much less effort than playing that variant from scratch.

Once again, Congratulations for sucessfully ascending to a higher plane of existence."

Fix'd that for you.

I live several blocks away from what is pretty much a forest (Sydney is a weird place, forests in the middle of it) where they can be found, with some effort. Not like the centipedes, can't scratch your ear without finding one of those!

But anyway, they are cute little critters, and I do like spiders.

Real forests or just really bushy parks?
Cities around here are usually much greener than what you'd see in the western world, most streets are lined with trees and there are plenty of houses with small lawns/gardens.Then again none of them are that big that some sort of wilderness is far away.

Well Sydney was a forest before they clear cut it down to build stuff, but there are parts that they didn't cut down. Mostly around the harbour where it is too marshy to build anything anyway, so although they are small enough to count as really bushy areas, while in them it might as well be forest.

Go and watch Brazil. The creepy puppets will never leave your dreams afterwards.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Brazil is the single worst movie I have ever seen.

Dude. DUDE. First you're hating on The Dark Crystal and now, no love for Brazil:-[

Not only are you dead to me, now your future offspring are dead to me. Next you'll be telling me you didn't like Krull or The Last Starfighter.

I don't understand American Football at all, but apparently my school's team is now tied for first in the league because they beat the previously-undefeated visitors. By Thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis much. (The length of that word is about the same distance for most resolutions.)

Our team was winning by 7 point, but the visitors were 5-ish meters away from getting a (touchdown?). They made it and got 6 points, which I guess meant that they could go back to 5-ish meters away and try again for two points. There was a whole lot of ramming and then a dogpile pretty much right on the line. The refs had to peel people off one by one until they saw the ball, and then everyone exploded.

We must have had an awesome goalie.

Sounds like a good game.  I'm not all that big of a fan myself but that probably would have held my attention.

Anyway yea, a touchdown is when they get the ball into the zones at the ends of the field.  That's worth 6 points.  Then they have the ball for one more play.  They can kick the ball between the uprights (big tuning fork looking things on the ends of the field) for one more point (which is safer, and the usual thing to do, since there is little the defense can do to stop it) or they can make another touchdown from there for two points, which is called a 2-point conversion.  2-point conversions don't happen often since they are risky and only worth one point more, but they can become the deciding play of the game under the right circumstances, such as what you described.

Congrats for your team, and your goalie defensive line.
