This thing is amazing.

There is nothing quite as exciting as soft rock playing behind overly excited Koreans.

I'd... really much prefer they redid Dalia. Although it stopped because there's only so much you can milk a show for, so I guess I'd prefer they just left both shows dead...
Especially Beavis and Butthead.

New job will involve gigantic amounts of studying. Yesssssss

Downside: If I fuck up too badly, I get fired and maybe somebody dies. The latter is unlikely, given all the safety precautions and monitoring of my activities, but it could happen. Anyway, pretty good motivation to learn.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Succeeded at understanding the Loopception problem in my C++ tutorial. (A loop within a loop within a loop. And two more, in the first.) I almost cheered when I did; I would've, had I been alone. 'Twas very confusing.

Went to hardware store, picked up chain mail materials. Assembling the winding board won't be much fun, but it should make the rest of the process easier. This shall be an interesting weekend.

I have a (very expensive) new calendar and an order for the book about European Philosopher Schoolgirls.

Yeeeeeeeeees <3

I may also be ordering the Hellsing manga, if I prove to myself that I can be responsible about studying Japanese.

Things like that make me wonder why nobody ever thought of writing a preprocessor macro that can handle nested loops for you...

I just finished Zelda II for the first time. That last boss. Difficult but I managed it with two of my four lives remaining (picked an extra one up on the way over). We we're both down to one hit for longer than I'd of liked; Matching desperate blows with desperate blocks. After defeating him I looked up the glitch and am happy to say I didn't use it.

You could always learn Java, where loops are just another easily observed thing.

(I'm not actually being a programming language dick, just voicing how the idea of anything involving just plain loops could be a problem is amusing. I'm sure it's hell to work around in a strong deep language like C++.)

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.
