But what about cute librarians Solifuge? I MUST KNOW.

There are markedly few guys working there (4 or 5, including me) and none are terribly cute, but there are a lot of girls. My branch shares employees with other libraries through the city and its suburbs, so I work with new faces every week.

There are a number of girls who are cute in a shy and mousy sort of way, and others who are cute in a well-informed and conscientious way. I work regularly with an attractive and funny gal from India, as well as an old friend who volunteered with me at the Wildlife Rehab Center. It's a great big mix of people, and it's exceedingly cool.

Huh... my workplace has me surrounded by attractive, intelligent, and rather cool ladies. Why am I just now realizing this? >:?

My family was killed by trees.

Sorry about that.

For you, the day trees graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for trees, it was Tuesday.

Ah yes Japa, I guess I misspoke:
...There are markedly few guys working there (4 or 5, including me) and excepting myself, none of them are terribly cute...

Fixed. Also, as you can see, they're also not half as good at modesty as I am.

We're talking family trees again?  Cool.

I'm the direct descendant of a colonel or captain or something in the Tennessee State Cavalry during the Civil War.  He served with no distinction and fled to Texas to keep from getting hung, where his bloodline proceeded to do nothing of note.

My great grandparents came to America from Denmark in the late 1930s, because they didn't want another war coming through their front yard.  I have about a billion relatives back there, who I will never know.

I'm distantly related to some English guy who settled in the Massachusetts colony in 1633, or maybe he was born in 1633, who I know of only through the Library of Congress.

One thing I do know - every single person I'm related to on every branch of both sides of my family were crooks, bums, or both.  And I like it that way.

I've heard that I'm somehow a descendant of Wild-bill Hitchcock from my great grandmother.
