I just expanded my empire to fill the entire map (apart from others' capital cities), without declaring war on anybody, without having to fight anybody (other than barbarians) at all, and THEN I built the Utopia Project and won.

Woo, Civilization V.

S-seventy pages left of Discipline and Punish... finally.  It's due back at the library on Monday, and I'm not letting it escape :I

After this, I'll have read:

1/3 of Leviathan
Andy Warhol's autobiography
Aristotle's Rhetoric
Aristotle's Poetics
Discipline and Punish

And that's all pretty much in the past four days, along with all the usual schoolwork and so on one has to do, attending class, attending office hours, seeing my mom, going to a movie, that durned hike, eating lunch with friends multiple times, and... all of those great things.

Whoa.  I'll admit that I used to read at least two or three books of this length a day when I was in elementary through middle school, but that was a long time ago.  This feels weird.

Went for a short walk.  I think the rainy weather and cool air did me some good.

Can't... stop... watching... Dr.Horrible!

Huzzah for more Dr. Horrible fans! Best movie I've ever watched....made even better because Felicia Day and Neil Patrick Harris are two of my favorite people in the entertainment industry.

After years of LAN parties with friends, I decided to try playing as Humans in Warcraft III. I'm not very good with them, but a Spellbreaker rush surprises everyone. I guess the advantage to not knowing the 'good' strategies is that you are unpredictable.

Me: Eat your green beans. They'll help make you taller.
Daughter: Taller than you?
Me: *chuckling* Yeah, that won't take much.
Daughter: Taller than mommy?
Me: Yep, so eat your green beans.
Daughter: Taller than the sky!?
Me: Uh...sure, why not?
Daughter: That's dic-lee-us (ridiculous). *eats green beans*

I just got called out by a three year old, and it was hilarious.

MaximumZero, that sounds amazing and adorable.

Anyway, shameless plugs time!

Woman of Ambition is turning out to be more fun than Man of SCIENCE!! was, largely on account of me writing down things that I'll need to remember later.

By contrast, the much more relaxed, less empire-build-y The King Is Dead! is turning out to be a bucket of fun because the system is so much lighter.

Mythbusters returns in 10 days, and next week, John Locke tells of a mysterious island on the next Curiosity.

Also, it looks like I have a chance to win this week's Fantasy Football matchhup.

I have perfected my coffee recipe~
1 part extra bold coffee, preferably from a french press or espresso (I'm sure turkish would work too, but I've never had turkish), 1 part whole milk, 1 part soy milk~
Add chocolate drink mix relative to amount of liquid~
Warm to a lukewarm temperature, not hot, just warm~
Stir and enjoy creamy deliciousness~

Friggin' hilarious.
Reminds me of FluffyToast's "Let's Skim Fallout 3".

Speaking of which, any chances they'll continue it?

EDIT:
Their playthrough of Amnesia is pretty funny. Especially near the end.

Don't worry little buddy, you did.

And dammit Japanese mothers, stop trying to set me up with your daughters. They are in a good college and are studying to be doctors. I'm just crawling my way out of community college.

Finally done with my math homework. Screw you, math teacher, for assigning three homework assignments, including one we never even started to cover. I mean, yeah, it'd be trivial to all you mathemagicians, but still.
