I'm currently listening to a Feynman lecture. Absolutely hilarious.

I started researching everything I'll need to build a machine to change the world as we know it. Perhaps.
Huh, any hints on what kind of machine that is?

It's amazing how easy it is to get that feeling about an episode of... well, anything.

I'm legally bound to not describe it, unfortunately.   :-\ It uses digital logic though, and lots of copper wires.

How the fuck is it possible to be legally bound to not describe it?

I mean, what would require that?

I dunno, but that sounds like it's pretty important whatever it is.  I suppose he could tell you, if he was ready to kill you.

I already said what kind of machine it is so it's kinda redundant to ask any further.

This magical document called a confidentiality agreement. There are other names, but this is nice catch-all term.

I'm currently listening to a Feynman lecture. Absolutely hilarious.
In a better world, Feynman's classic comedy series "Physics: Absolutely hilarious!" is staying popular despite it's age, Carl Sagan is remembered as the most popular host on Fox News, while Richard Dawkins' books are frowned upon by kids in kindergartens for being too simplistic.

I choose to assume it's enforced by ninja.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I'm told the department of defence gives out non-disclosure agreements to anyone who does anything for them.
I wouldn't be surprised if the department of defence gave non-disclosure agreements to their garbage men to prevent trash leaks, it seems like the kind of thing they'd try.

Yup. But hey, remind me in five years and I'll tell you.  :P

Today was the first day of Knowledge Bowl practice, and somehow I am team captain. I plan on delegating, though. Just because I answered half the questions doesn't mean I'm good at leading other people. (I'm frankly terrible at it.) Jeegus. I do appreciate it, though.

In other news, I have three weeks to go until the XC meet I've been training for for almost a year, and it looks like my training will pay off. Instead of my goal to beat [other city's] fifth runner, I may be beating their third.
