Can't believe it.  I'm going to see Professor Poland in less than a week, and meet the undoubtedly splendid Professor Rosehip.

I feel like I'm running off to swear fealty or something, because I'm infatuated with a lady who I only know via a scrap of her writing seen on the internet, who I already feel almost as though I would follow anywhere.  It's a wonderful, luxurious emotion.

Here's hoping it doesn't turn out to be like those sitcoms where you build up this huge imagination of them as Everything You Ever Wanted And/Or Feared, and they turn out to be an incredibly ordinary and boring person.

Would that I could die on a spear of finely crafted prose,
Or that I might at least make a fine rhetorician;
I fear that Professor Rosehip will have a bulbous nose,
And I will only be fit to serve as mathematician.

My brother caught his cat today :D. I'm quite relieved, my brother really loves his cat. Since it was my mastery of baiting that lead to its capture he decided to pay me $150. I'm sure I can make good use of it.

I have a katana that I'm looking to sell. :P

I have no idea what this is or why it exists, but right now it's making me laugh to the point of wheezing.

(I think there might be some NSFW stuff on there, though I didn't see any, so be careful--I also don't think there's any ToS-breaking images, but please let me know if you find any so I can take it down)

EDIT: A little digging shows me that it's run by a Homestuck fan.

I found this, translated from german to danish, guess I'll try to translate it to english. It's written from the perspective of a handicapped man in Nazi Germany.

"First they came for the communists, but I said nothing, I was not a communist.
Then next they came for the trade unionists, but I said nothing, I was not a trade unionist.
And so they came after the jews, but I said nothing, I was not a jew.
In the end they came after me, but there was no one left to say something. "

That's actually very well known. The quote even has a wikipedia entry. I don't think the original author was handicapped, Martin Niemöller. He was priest who initially supported Hitler, but became disillusioned due to Nazi moves against the protestant religions, and was imprisoned for 8 years until the end of WWII. Maybe being used today to highlight the plight of the handicapped? Without your source I have no idea. The quote became famous in the 1950's.

I do this all the time, except I spook my sister by creeping into the kitchen when she's cooking or baking and whispering "Hey sis!"

I can always get her!

Also, it's nice to see you again, ein! :D

I may or may not be going on a date with a guy who was a bit of an asshat in high school but really matured upon hitting college o_O

Well, I'll probably be going to a movie with him.  The only question is whether or not it's a date.

. . .

~<3, just what I needed.  I have some nice warm fuzzies in my chest.
