SoTC is beautiful... too bad I've only played it for like 2 minutes... D:
I want to playyy ittttt
Wait until the flying colossi. Yessssssss.
Considering, provided taking the quote literally, you've played for 2 minutes, you have yet to actually get in any fights. The scores that play as you climb and take these things down multiplies the awesomeness of the game as well.

An example: One of my favorite themes
Imagine taming a bull the size of a condo.
Another one: While riding the sky-serpent
You'll feel like the kid riding the dragon in Neverending Story. And this thing is the size of a city street.
Dirge, dear lord, just Dirge. You'll see why...
Soar like an eagle

My brother caught his cat today :D. I'm quite relieved, my brother really loves his cat. Since it was my mastery of baiting that lead to its capture he decided to pay me $150. I'm sure I can make good use of it.

Just heard about this.
It is awesome.

That's actually quite clever. No matter what happens, Notch removes the lawsuit problem :) He also ends up with massive publicity for his new game no matter what the name is.

It's unfortunate Bethesda is probably never going to take him up on the offer. Which is a real shame.

Two arrows there would be possibly more odd.

I may be paying an arm and a leg for my textbooks, but

a. My grandmother usually pays for them and
b. They are going to be so great and smell so good.

I'm actually really excited to go back to school, even if I'm really scared at the same time.

Non-Euclidean Geometry Video Game Level Design (Portal 2 Version)

My mind is a whirl with possibilities...

I remember having high hopes for level design like this when Prey came out.  Remember that game?  Changing gravity, full visibility portals?  Yeah, it's not exactly a new idea, but Portal 2 does it very well.  Without the hardware limitations that some of that demonstration relied on - more portals to render at once especially, and dynamic gravity changes without changing rooms - you could do some apeshit bananas game design.

Thanks for posting that Kael (including thanks from a couple of other people). Takes thinking with portals to a new an improved level.

Hazard AKA Antichamber now is a game designed with that in mind; of course, more as a philosophical journey. This also reminds me of a couple Angel Mapper maps I played on Unreal Tournament. She made some awesome maps, but CTF-CathrinesDream had me sold as a fun and challenging CTF level against good bots/players. Essentially the map played on a floating island, topside vs. bottomside. The way to them, a series of holes in the floor.

I also remember making a map or 2 in Duke3D with these principles in mind as well. Not much to it, but it did make for some interesting map ideas. Too bad I was inexperienced, and was just screwing around. Some rooms were insta-death because I didn't understand the builder well enough.

He looks a strange amount like Patrick Stewart~

On an unrelated note, I just put on mascara for the first time since I was six and whoa, shit's magic~
Then I fucked up my face with eyeshadow and eyeliner and now I look like a zombie~ :D
