Haspen's is "the worst."  I've also seen it translated as "completely fucked."
But that doesn't. That doesn't make any.

What!?

Every time someone tries it, an announcer reads the result aloud at a Japanese game show. The audience laughs.

Had some hilarity at work tonight, when apparently the plant server room caught fire or something.  I know they had to call 911.  We already knew everything was screwed up at the other end of the building, but I had to work past the servers on my way to another issue, I noticed a big red siren flashing and buzzing.  I find it hysterical that UPS has a RED ALERT mode.  I thought it was odd that nobody had ever mentioned RED ALERT mode in training, but I suppose it's pretty self explanatory.

"Hey, what's that flashing red light and buzzing siren mean?"
"Oh y'know, the reactor's overheating, we're losing altitude, the hull can't take the pressure, we've lost telemetry, Imperial troops have entered the base.  That sort of thing."
"Okay.  What do we do about it?"
"If someone says 'run', run motherfucker.  Until then, carry on and keep calm."

Aspirin.  No more headache.  Thank you, tree bark, thank you.

... Incidentally, "acetylsalicylic acid" was one of my spelling words in second or third grade.  Aspirin and I have a very special relationship.

Dude, I almost want to light something on fire at work, just to see if my location does the same thing.

Also, I didn't know we had the same employer. I suddenly envy you a little bit less.

The first thing I'm going to do as a mechanical engineer is rig a small siren and flashing red light to my computer that I can use to sarcasticly make things go into red alert in my own home.

I don't know whether to be insulted, or fear for how much you may have envied me in the first place.  I mean, whatever for...

The fuck?  Was your elementary school located within a Mensa campus?  I remember in the fourth grade, one of my spelling words was "blockade".

When I was in third grade, we had a bunch of easy words, and I aced it so hard, the teacher gave me an extra list of a bunch of crazy words, and I managed to get them all right, netting everyone in the class an extra 50% to their score~
I wish I could remember what all the words were~ :\
