My boss gets into work today.
Him: "Could you do that enzyme digestion thing?"
Me: "Oh, yeah, I did that yesterday."
Him: "Oh, good, in that case, can you make a gel to run the product?"
Me: "Yeah, I actually did that 30 minutes ago."
Him: "Oh, that's good, would you get the loading dye mixed into the samples and run the gel?"
Me: "I'm actually doing that at this very moment."
Him: "I... Okay, good." *walks off*

Today's Profession check: NATURAL 20

EDIT: And then later, I open a box and suddenly all the alarms go off. Just a coincidental fire drill, but kind of funny for a second.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Are you a microbiologist, Bauglir? Your job sounds both incredibly involved and envious.

In other news, I had one of those "Oh Poland, you're just awesome!"-moments, but more on that later.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Crappy photo quality, I know.

Anyway, it's not the cel-shading style I was looking for, but it still looks pretty good.
That's actually the first comics I bought, since I was a little boy.

I work in a microbiology lab, but it's basically just doing the gruntwork that other people tell me to do. 80% of it is cleaning things or filling boxes of disposable pipette tips. Another 15% is just mixing up growth medium for bacteria and algae. This was one of the rare fun things. And I have to leave it soon :(

I was playing a bit of the Doom64ex source port. Pretty fun getting to play that again with mouse + keyboard controls. It's weird, all this time and these games that were some of the first things I ever played are still sticking with me so much.

Nice to hear you had a good day considering your usual posts. Really, honestly. I hate it when I see people here just UNABLE to get a damn break. But it makes them posting about a good day make me feel warm inside in some way .3

Hmm, it's actually not my 'usual' behaviour, but rather a recent trend.
And by recent I mean 9+ months. Hell, if I wanted to I could look up the exact date, where things started to go on a steady way downhill.

... but, nevermind.

Thanks Janet.

Indeed.

I have in fact had 2 unhorrible days in a row.

My government didn't self destruct this week.

My sister will be starting a job soon.

I made a lot of bad jokes yesterday.

My cat was nice this morning and came and cuddled with me. Unfortunately it was when I was supposed to be getting ready for work, but a purring cat laying on my chest was an obvious priority.

Oh god were they puns? D.

I admit I have a horrible habit to get rather punny sometimes.

... Oh god I did it again.

Some of them were puns, yes.

And damn it, I spoke too soon, just got an IM from my boss asking if I can work the weekend.

So it looks like that isn't turning into 3 unhorrible days in a row.

I just finished cleaning up the old Bay12 World of Text up of graffiti. Unless someone went really far in one direction and put something where nobody would find it even if they were trying to look for it.

But oh well, I did the best I can do with an infinite grid of text.
