Huh, I just noticed something, and I'm glad Toady's taking forum feedback into account with how he moderates [/if you want to argue over it that's fine but try the sad thread (where this is being talked about right now) or PM, since this is the happy thread, but feel free to quote this post as something you don't agree with or something; I'll see it and respond accordingly in the more appropriate setting, if it turns out this post is discussion-worthy instead of a random comment]

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Was that an acutal cutscene from SH3? I'll add that to the list of games I should play some time.

I've actually have a reason to post the happy thread, yay!

I ended up going to a concert by accident today. I usually walk through the local arboretum for exercise but when I got there it was filled with cars and people. I heard the music but I didn't connect the dots until I seen the stage lol. The music actually wasn't bad and for some reason I didn't have any panic attacks while I was there.  It was pretty refreshing, its unfortunate they had to pack up so soon after I got there. Only thing that bothered me was the litter and the morons playing in the fountain. The joke was on them though, people do some pretty sick stuff in that fountain lmao.

Huh. Too bad I had to work, or I probably would've shown up. I live like, a minute from there.

This is an intresting but odd question I'm just asking the topic and fourm. Has anyone else here played Ravens CyClones game? It's an old fps running on some... I'm not sure what kinda engine it is.

But the main thing is I wanna know what this enemy is named if someone has the manual or something. They're total assholes! I just wanna know what to call them so I don't end up naming them Charlie because I watch too much Raocow.

Huh. Too bad I had to work, or I probably would've shown up. I live like, a minute from there.

That means your about a minute from where I live lol. I'm even more surprised now, I wish I could calculate the odds on that.

I was told that they were down there around 12pm or 1 pm and I think it was 9 pm or so when they started packing up. Well, they said they would be back next year so we have that to look foward to. I have no idea how anyone is supposed to know when they will show up though...

That's awesome. And really strange. And now I'm curious as to who you actually are. (If that's mutual, see the photoshare thread. I'm in it. And I appear much larger than I actually am.) And I was in Be..uh..the electronics store with yellow tags hawking my favorite company's new tablet.
