Ahhhhh. Just finished formatting a 32000 character post of homebrewed content for my D&D campaign. It's funny because ~75% of it is almost certainly never going to be implemented unless the players cock things up to a tremendous degree. But I'm happy it's done because I now have a concrete course plotted for how exactly the world is fucked if they don't save it.
Hey, fellow crazy-prepared-DM-five! I just did that myself, though with a lot less characters.

I for one though the OOC/Funny thread was valuable when it was all silly forum quotes, AKA Realmfighter. It was when everybody decided to start posting every slightly suggestive thing from IRCs and chats that it got out of hand.

And now my cat has decided my lap is the optimal place for a nap. I can't complain.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

No need to drag the OOC thread drama in here, just stick the funny quotes here if they make you happy. It's technically on topic as it is. Just no drama about it. That got old.

Can't wait to get back to RIT; they now have new copies of Godel, Escher, Bach. :D
Wanted to read that all of last year, but the previous copies were nabbed a couple years ago and never returned.

Also followed the links from that Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality fanfic and came across this: http://wiki.lesswrong.com/wiki/Sequences
Stuff about thinking about thinking and various other topics!

/v/... /v/ never changes

I will never look at /v/ the same way again.

...not that I held it in high regard or anything.
