Man. This is definitely the place to be discussing how much we break the law, ignoring for the purposes of this post how just that law is. I suppose I'm being a bit of a dick and crashing other peoples' happy, but on the other hand, I feel like it's a) unwise to talk about a crime, however small, in a public place and b) kind of a dick move since you put Toady in the position of either having to moderate your comments out or implicitly condone piracy. Maybe I'm overreacting, I mean it's not like people are posting links to anything, but a discussion about the precise extent to which you break the law and your reasons for doing so just doesn't seem like a good idea for this thread. Even if I happen to think the laws in question are ridiculous, and am in a bit of a dilemma about whether to even make this post or not as a result.

GODDAMN CHIN-NINJAS

This is a great point.

My previous post is now diamonds.

Thanks, Bauglir.

What's the opinion on long-oop products?
About the only things I've ever downloaded were -very- old DOS-based games and some long out of print tabletop games.
GW hasn't printed 1st edition 40k since about '89, there are no copies being sold by them, and physical copies are semi-rare and only sold by individuals. Doesn't exactly seem wrong in that situation.
Ditto on Twilight 2000.

I'll admit to ripping Babylon's Burning, but the company currently selling it can kiss my ass: they screwed the creators over to the point of driving them out of business.

My hand is not broken, and my foot only had two broken toes, which I'm told will heal perfectly fine. To celebrate, I bought fifteen tickets for the final Harry Potter movie and reserved the whole back row. Style up in this theater.

I bought fifteen tickets

Do you have a trust fund or something?
I don't even want to imagine how expensive that was.

I have a $12 an hour 'data entry' job which is really just doing small math and editing a file in Notepad. It came out to roughly $155, which my parents paid $100 of since I have my 16th birthday on the 12th.

Yup, thanks for the reminder.  Post edited.

I just came back from buying $35 of groceries, because I'd pretty much run out of everything.  Bread, eggs, sour cream, bananas, potatoes, peanut butter, squash, onions, carrots, garlic, beets... everything!

Now I have food, and the bulk expense of that was used on emergency food that'll keep for a good while.  Thank heavens for cheap grocery stores.

Just gotta go buy a pound of peanuts either later tonight or tomorrow after class, for my fried rice :3  Well, and I wish I had some eggplant, fresh apples, and tomatoes, ... and cabbage... but those will have to wait a little while, I guess.

Tonight I'll just cook some basic lentils or something.

I found a feather on the ground yesterday, and thought it would look good to put in my hat. Today, someone hands me another feather on the ground somewhere else, for my hat.

I found out that my terrible ACT Writing score (of 3, on a 2 to 12 scale, 2nd percentile...  :o) will probably not matter, because
A. Engineering schools. Good grades on Math and "Science" (or, more fittingly, scientific processes (Reading tables, unit conversions, reasoning, etc.))
B. Even if it does matter, it's backed up by a good English score. Combined English-Writing: 27 (on the otherwise standard 36-point ACT scale)

Now, I get to do work on AP Chem. Hooray?
